Esmaeel was born in a religious family in Zarfan of Fars Province in 1920. He learned Islamic lessons from his family. He started to read religious poems in special religious ceremonies held for imams and the prophet on mourning occasions. He went to far villages to guide deprived people of these regions when he became a young man. He made these people familiar with beauties and commands of Islam religion. Moazzeni spent most of “Moharram”? Months (Arabic month in which people mourn for Imam Hossein) in deprived villages. Since he loved Imam Khomeini and his heavenly movement, he joined soldiers of “Rouhollah”? (Imam Khomeini). He stood manly against soldiers of Pahlavi regime. He distributed Imam Khomeini’s announcements and participated at demonstrations held for enthusiastic movement of Imam Khomeini. Esmaeel Moazzeni was finally martyred on Thursday, December 27th, 1978. He was martyred while he was in a demonstration with other brave people of Shiraz City. They screamed and asked for justice. He was shot on head by Pahlavi Regime soldiers and became wounded first. He was finally martyred because of that wound at the age of 58 years old. There are some poems remained from him which are namely “Baadeh”? (It means wine and has a special meaning in Persian literature), “Clergyman”?, “Sana-ye Ahadi”?, “Mardan-e Mard”?, “Rescue Ship”?, “Nassim-e Mey”?, “Circle of Love”?, “Smell of Heaven”?, “Hand of Death”?, “Kaaba of Heart”? and “Farm of Life”?.
