Stopping Iraqi War Machine by Destroying Their Refineries Was Martyr Fakouri's Plan

Navideshahed: Martyr Brigadier General Jawad Fakoori was a strong and experienced pilot that his great courage had become a good model for the young pilots; his policies in destroying the enemy’s refineries led to the stopping of tanks and aircrafts fuels and the oil required for the war machines of Saddam Hussein.

According to Navideshahed, Martyr Brigadier General Jawad Fakoori was born in 1938 in Tabriz city. He spent his childhood, elementary school and high school in the place of his residence until getting diploma degree.

In 1958, he joined the Officer’s College of the Army Ground Force and after a year based on his personal request and after passing a test and some body examinations, he joined the Pilotage College of Air Force.

He accomplished the elementary and academic flight training in Iran and he flew with the aircrafts T41 that are known as SASNA and Pipre and T4 of Harood and this final aircraft was a type of interceptor and fighter-bomber aircrafts left from the World War II.

After that in order to complete his education in the field of Pilotage, he went to the United States of America. He accomplished his training in an Academy in the United States of America on the aircrafts t-34, t-37 and t-33 and he succeeded to get the Pilotage degree and the ranking of Second Lieutenant.

After that he was transferred to the Tactical Training Squadron aircraft f-86 known as Saber to Iran and he started his service in the second prey base in Dezful named ‘Vahdati’.

Brigadier General Fakoori was chosen to train the other pilots when the Air Force was equipped to the Supersonic aircrafts F-5 and after a training in Mehr Abad airport, he was sent to the third prey based in Hamedan named ‘Shahrokhi Base’ (This air base’s name was changed after the victory of Islamic Revolution to martyr Nouzhe according to the martyrdom of major pilot Nouzhe).

After that by the entry of Phantom aircraft (F-4) to the Air Force in 1968, he was chosen for the training of this aircraft and he was chosen for the second group of Pilotage so greatly. After that he tripped to Germany in order to learn the art of Training.

Although he would be considered as the first trainers of the F-5 aircrafts as well, but it can be said that he was a brave Pilotage trainer for all the pilots of F-4 in the Air Force.

The individual characteristics of the pilot martyr Jawad Fakoori

Martyr Brigadier General Jawad Fakoori was a strong and experienced pilot which his great courage had become a good model for the young pilots. He was a pious and committed officer to the performance of religious percepts and he was so regular and certain in his decision as well. He had a very strong belief in religion. He also neutralized the conspiracy of Muslims Khalgh Party in Tabriz and he was arrested; but he resisted up to losing his life. But his natural courage, his destiny based on the help of God and the assistance of his colleagues in Tabriz led to his freedom from the prison of Muslims Khalgh Party Branch.

During martyr Rajae’s government, he was appointed as the Defense Minister and he entered the battlefields so immediately. Also the toughest moments of commandership occurred for him during the war in a way that eventually he was martyred.

During his commandership in the Air Force, the strength of empowerment and discipline of this force began according to the chain of commands and he was able to achieve great developments until his martyrdom time in way that the Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran was able to stand against the enemy until many months passing from the Iran-Iraq war.

His military policies in destroying the enemy’s refineries led to the stopping of tanks and aircrafts fuels and the oil required for the war machines of Saddam Hussein in the deserts of Ahvaz city.

The Commander of the second prey base of Tabriz, the commander of the 1st prey base in Mehrabad of Tehran city, the commander of the Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Defense Minister of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the cabinet of martyr Rajaei were the most important activities of martyr brigadier general Jawad Fakoori.

Some of the valuable activities that he did include dispatching 140 military aircrafts towards the Iraqi territories until September 23, 1980 after the first Air strike of the Iraqi Baathist forces. Fakoori attempted and struggled so much in order to empower and coordinate his forces in this field.

Martyr Fakoori faced with an air accident when he was returning from the victorious military operation ‘Samen Al-Ameh’ from Ahvazi city towards Tehran. He faced with the air accident near Kahrizak and he was martyred along with some of the commanders of Army and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps including martyr Kolahdoozan, martyr Jahan Ara and martyr Falahi.
